Fifteen-year-old adolescents living in the university city of Uppsala and the industrial town of Trollhättan were randomly selected from the official population register. The selected subjects were invited by letter to participate in the study and subsequently, contacted by telephone.

Data Collection Event

Y2K - Baseline 15 years

Questionnares collected information about nutrition, reproduction, medication, smoke habits, sleep, lifestyle and behaviours. Participants completed the Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ) and filled in an activity diary. A medical examination was performed and Dual X-ray absorptometry (DXA) measurements were taken. Blood samples were collected.
