The population is composed of individuals who are 70 years or older living in sheltered housing in Sweden.

Information is collected about age, sex, living with partner status, relationship status, participation in physical and social activities, place of birth, functional status (Katz Index of Independence in Activities of Daily Living, Lawton Instrumental Activities of Daily Living, combined ADL/IADL), quality of life (EuroQol five dimensions questionnaire, the ICEpop CAPability Measure for Older People), thriving in long-term care facilities (Thriving of Older People Assessment Scale), and depressive mood (Geriatric Depression Rating Scale). The Swedish Patient Registry is used to extract details of participants’ healthcare consumption in terms of the number and place of health visits and the diagnoses and length of stay associated with these visits. The Registry on Social Services for Older People and Persons with Disabilities is used to obtain information about participants’ aged care consumption. The Swedish Prescribed Drugs Register is used to extract participants’ pharmacology consumption, such as the number of prescriptions, anatomical therapeutic chemical codes, and total cost for pharmacy.
