The population is composed of mothers who took SRIs during pregnancy at least 75 days prenatally.

Participants were approached during their second trimester of pregnancy (26 weeks) from community midwife clinics, family physician clinics, and a reproductive mental health clinic in metropolitan Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada.

Data Collection Event

SRI_Exposure - Cohort B Mothers taking SRIs - 3rd trimester

At this time point information about general health was collected.

Psychological testing was done using measures such as the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HAM-A), Hamilton Depression Scale (HAM-D), The Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS), The Positive and Negative Affect (PANAS) and The symptom questionnaire (SQ).

A blood sample was collected for SRI levels and genotype and a saliva sample was collected for cortisol and amylase.
