SAGE - Children without asthma
The population is composed of children aged 7-8 years old (born in 1995) at the time of recruitment, who were identified as being free of asthma following the first questionnaire.

SAGE - Baseline questionnaire
A one page survey was sent to the household of the cohort children to inquire about their health and home environment exposures. The survey collected information about the presence of asthma, allergy and other health conditions in the cohort children and their parents and siblings, as well as birth and current home environmental exposures to tobacco smoke, pets and mold.
Parents were asked for permission to link the survey data to their child's healthcare database records to collect information about physician visit, hospitalization, immunization and prescription drug.
