The population is made up of newborns from mothers participating in the study.

Health problems diagnosed by a professional, hospitalizations (number of hospitalizations, reasons, duration), medications (which ones, reasons, duration), emergency department visits, screen exposure, and referral to a professional for illness, health problems, developmental delay (motor, hearing, visual, neurological, language), and behavior referrals to a professional are recorded.  The use of childcare services, the child’s outdoor play habits, and risk-taking behaviors are assessed. Internalized and externalized behaviors (such as emotional reactivity, anxiety/depression, somatic complaints, withdrawal, attention problems, aggressive behavior, and sleep problems) are assessed through the Child Behavior Checklist. Executive functions and intellectual skills are assessed through the Minnesota Executive Function Scale and the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for preschool and primary school. Overall development (Ages & Stages Questionnaires) is also assessed. Child growth and health (weight, height, and head circumference) information are collected through the vaccine records.
