The Pre-Conception cohort consists of women who intended to become pregnant within one year at the time of recruitment and who then became pregnant.

Data Collection Event

PreDICTR - Mothers - Pre-Conception - First trimester of pregnancy

At first trimester of pregnancy, women answered questionnaires about demographic profile, social and physical environment (demographic characteristics of parents, family structure and composition, social policy, socio-economic status, neighbourhood characteristics, social support, non-parental child care, parental behaviour and lifestyle) and interim updates. Also, questions about life events stressors, depression, temperament, physical activity mobility, nutrition and infection diary, pain, medication, clinical and pregnancy histories were asked.

Weight, height, waist circumference and blood pressure were measured. Body mass index was calculated. Fetal fat and placental imaging were done by ultrasounds.

Blood, hair, and saliva (for inflammatory, toxicology and genetic studies) were collected.
