LGP - Offspring of those with typical survival
This control group is composed of the Ashkenazi spouses of the super agers' offspring and age-matched Ashkenazi Jews recruited from the Einstein Aging Study, neither of which are known to have a family history of exceptional longevity or to carry longevity genes or phenotypes.
Data Collection Event
LGP - Offspring of those with typical survival - 2006
Participants were visited at their home by a member of the Einstein Institute for Aging Research.
The visit included a self-reported medical history covering family history, health and lifestyle information, and a cognitive examination was performed.
A physical and physiological examination was done to measure height, weight, waist girth, blood pressure, heart's electrical action and walking ability.
A blood sample was taken.
