Collected Dataset / FAMILY_Fathers_21to39weeks_pregnancy

The partners population in the FAMILY study is composed of Canadian living in the Hamilton region, in Ontario. They were recruited during their pregnant partners third trimester of pregnancy (gestational age of 21-39 weeks).

Data collection occurred at study visits through questionnaires and physical measurements.

Information about demographics, family health history, ethnicity, socioeconomic status (family size, education, household income), lifestyle practices (nutrition, physical activity and related behaviours, smoking history) and parental stress were collected by questionnaire.

Height, weight, waist and hip circumferences, subscapular and tricep skinfolds, and blood pressure were measured. Body mass index was calculated.

Fasting blood was collected for total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL cholesterol, insulin and cytokines measures.
