Participants were recruited from the different school boards and daycare associations that operate within the selected neighbourhoods though letters of invitations and social media.

Supplementary Information about selection criteria: All participants who previously participated in the first round were invited to participate in the following rounds. For example, a participant of round 1 can also participate in round 2, 3, 4 and 5.

Data Collection Event

EnCORE - Children - Round 3

The parent/guardian is asked to complete an online questionnaire for each participating child. Information on socio-demographics, COVID-19 risks and symptoms in the household, and prevention efforts are collected. Emotional and behavioral problems in children are also assessed through the 25-item Strenghts and Difficulties Quesionnaire. Blood samples are collected through a specimen collection kit for finger pricks that was mailed out to participants.
