The majority of the study participants were recruited through the alumni associations of the universities of Alberta, Toronto, and Western Ontario. A small contingent was also recruited through the Canadian Cancer Society.

Data Collection Event

CSDLH - Follow-up

Follow-up of participants was ascertained by record linkage to national and provincial registries. Incident cases of cancers were assessed via record linkage to the Canadian Cancer Registry and Ontario Cancer Registry. Deaths from all causes were ascertained by means of record linkage to the National Mortality Database.
