The population is composed of probands’ children aged 4 to 17 years.

Information collected is an assessment of personality, temperament, family functioning, social support, and quality of life through self-rating questionnaires. Diagnostic information was collected using the Diagnostic Interview for Genetic Studies (DIGS). Migraine symptoms (Diagnostic Interview for Headache Syndromes (DIHS)), life events (F. Amiel-Lebigre interview), and family history information were collected. Personality traits, attitudes, and functioning were assessed through a semi-structured diagnostic interview and several self-rating instruments. Information was collected about personality and temperamental features, familial functioning, coping, and sleep. This was done using a self-report battery that included the following instruments: the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI), the Retrospective Self Report Childhood Inhibition (RSRCI), the Dimensions of Temperament Survey Revised (DOTS-R), the Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ), the Type A behavior, the Sensitivity to Reward (STR), the Parental Bonding Instrument (PBI), the Family Adaptability and Cohesion Scale III (FACES III), the Dyadic Adjustment Scale (DAS), the Family Attitude Scale (FAS-30), the Euronet: Problem Resolution Strategy and the MOS-Sleep Module. These psychiatric assessments were performed to elicit criteria for DSM-IV axis I disorders diagnostic interview.
