The population is composed of 18 to 75 years old health care workers from acute care, rehabilitation, and complex care hospitals in Canada.

Inclusion:
Occupation full- or part-time (>20 hours per week for health care workers, ≥ 8 hours per week for physician, nurse practitioner or midwife);
Have convenient access to and basic skills for use of computer or cell phone with internet capability;
Able to read and write English or French and available for follow-up during the study period.

Exclusion: HCWs are not eligible if they plan to take leave from work for more than two consecutive weeks within the first 3 months of enrolment (e.g., vacation, maternity or medical leave, retirement).

b) providing short videoconference or phone presentations for team meetings/huddles,
c) posting electronic advertisements on internal hospital communications,

f) distributing pamphlets to targeted internal mailboxes.

Data Collection Event

CCCS - Daily report

Participants with an acute respiratory illness and/or who are tested for COVID-19 are asked to complete daily online illness reports starting when symptoms begin. The first report asked for symptoms along with possible exposures to others with COVID-19 and/or respiratory symptoms during the previous 14 days. Subsequent illness reports collected information about symptoms, attendance at work, and medical consultations. Illness reports are required until all symptoms are absent, or for 3 days, whichever is longer. For symptomatic participants, they were completed at day 1 only. For tested participants, they included information about date and results of the test. If participants tested positive for COVID-19, blood samples were self-collected 30 days after test.
