APrON - Mothers
The population is composed of pregnant women aged 16 years or older, with a gestational age of less than 27 weeks, who lived in the metropolitan areas of Calgary and Edmonton in Alberta, Canada.
Data Collection Event
APrON - Mothers - 12 weeks postpartum
A questionnaire inquired about details that could change from the maternal questionnaires that were administered during pregnancy (i.e. current mental health, medication use, social support, physical activity, and weight).
During the assessment, anthropometric measurements (height, weight and skinfold measures) were taken, a 24 hour food recall for the day prior to the visit and a 3 hour food recall for the 3 hours prior to the appointment were performed, a supplement intake questionnaire was completed, and blood and urine samples were collected. A spot sample of breast milk was also collected, if breastfeeding.
