Collected Dataset / ALSPAC_Partners_8weeks

The population consists of partners; whether it is the biological fathers or those who take on the role of a parent of the children enrolled in the study.

Information was collected about the participant's state since the birth of the baby (how they felt, whether they got enough sleep and how they reacted to the actual birth) from the Being a Father Questionnaire. In addition, information was collected about general physical health, mental health, social characteristics, partner information, substance use, and parenting. Information about current health, symptoms and sleep, parenting (such as reaction and feelings towards birth, breastfeeding, fatherhood and help with child) was collected, as well as information about smoking and alcohol intake habits and use of illicit drugs. Information about feelings towards partner and social information such as occupation, and social support was also collected.

Amongst mental and cognitive issues, information about depression, anxiety and life events was collected.
