The population consists of partners; whether it is the biological fathers or those who take on the role of a parent of the children enrolled in the study.

Information was collected about accidents and injuries, the home, the household, how participant feels, occupation and lifestyle, and drinking, from the Partner and Home Questionnaire. In addition, information was collected about general physical health, diet and nutrition, social characteristics, partner information, housing and neighbourhood characteristics, environmental characteristics, substance use, and parenting. Information about chest pains, sleep, accidents and injuries, surgery, and physical activity was also collected. Anthropometry measures were collected in a self-reported manner. Information about smoking and alcohol intake habits and information about housing and neighbourhood was also collected, as well as social information such as education, occupation, marital status, household income and expenditure, financial difficulties, household composition and information about other children and parenting information such as paternal enjoyment, whether they live with the child, and feelings towards older child. Information about being the biological mother of the child was collected as well.
