The population consists of partners; whether it is the biological fathers or those who take on the role of a parent of the children enrolled in the study.

Information was collected about the participant’s health, their partner, their childhood and their beliefs and attitudes from the You and Your Environment Questionnaire. In addition, information was collected about general physical health, mental health, social characteristics, partner information, housing and neighbourhood characteristics, and environmental characteristics. Information about current health and symptoms, family medical history, allergies, hearing, vision and bladder problems, infections, congenital malformations, accidents and injuries and surgery was collected. Anthropometry measures were collected in a self-reported manner. Social information such as marital status, being the biological father, having other children, childhood home and care, household composition as child was collected, as well as information about partner’s level of aggression and affection. Housing and neighbourhood information was also collected.

Amongst mental and cognitive issues, information about maternal care/warmth as child, childhood life events, and locus of control was collected.
