The population consists of any resulting child from all pregnant women residents in the old administrative county of Avon if their estimated delivery date fell between 1 April 1991 and 31 December 1992.

At the focus clinic, health, physiological, psychological and social information was assessed.

Information was collected about food and activity, nutrition, and antisocial activities. The friends and peers and friends and school interviews were conducted .

Attention, inhibition, and depression were assessed.

Blood pressure, flow mediated dilation, inter-medial thickness, balance, laterality, smell, vision, scoliosis, sitting height, acne, bioelectric impedance and anthropometry measures were taken. A pulse wave analysis was done as well.

A blood, urine and mouth swab sample were collected.
