ALSPAC - Children

The population consists of any resulting child from all pregnant women residents in the old administrative county of Avon if their estimated delivery date fell between 1 April 1991 and 31 December 1992.

Data Collection Event

ALSPAC - Children - 27 years
Information was collected on childhood, faith and beliefs, feelings, parenting, and aspirations. Data on employment, education, family structure, life events, income, quality of life, ethnicity, social support, social life, pregnancy, and contraception were also collected. Information on parenting was gathered using the Parental Bonding Instrument (PBI). Symptoms of postnatal depression were assessed using the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS).
