The population consists of any resulting child from all pregnant women residents in the old administrative county of Avon if their estimated delivery date fell between 1 April 1991 and 31 December 1992.

Information was collected about health, well-being, physical activity, behaviour, monetary choice, life events, family and fertility, unusual experiences, education, attitudes to data sharing.
