ALSPAC - Children
The population consists of any resulting child from all pregnant women residents in the old administrative county of Avon if their estimated delivery date fell between 1 April 1991 and 31 December 1992.

Information was collected through the use of questionnaires, and registries.
Some questions were child based and some were child completed. Questionnaires specifically collected information about child’s entourage and diet from mother and information about tea and coffee drinking and fruit and vegetable consumption, sibling bullying and attitudes to skin colour from child study. Information was collected about mental and cognitive issues, diet and nutrition, and social characteristics. Ethnic differences and social information about siblings, and bullying by siblings was collected.
Children have been linked to the Clinical Practice Research Datalink (CPRD) database, Pupil Level Annual School Census (PLASC), Annual School Census (ASC) and National and the Pupil Database (NPD).
Participants were linked to residential addresses across the life course. Linkages could be established to co-ordinates or health, political and administrative geographies. Participants could also be linked to neighbourhood data.
