Women and their partners were recruited between May 25, 2010 and August 30, 2012 at one of nine study centres during routine first-trimester prenatal visits to study hospitals and infertility clinics.

Information is collected on household economic changes, parent and partner employment and education participation in the past year, major life events, and parental health behaviors. Parental coping strategies under stress and gender identity items are also assessed. Parenting is measured via parenting practices and parenting satisfaction and burden.
