Life experiences and psychosocial development of the child: the role and quality of child care services
- To examine the extent to which patterns of change in child care quality over time predicted the child cognitive performance;
- To examine whether or not distinct dimensions of quality were particularly relevant to cognitive performance.

- Prior to the children’s second birthday, families were invited to participate in the EMIGARDE study. Participants were followed-up when children were 3, 4, 5-6, 7-8, 12-14 and 13-15 years old. Child care services regularly attended by the children also received a visit when the child was 2, 3, and 4 years old.
