The objectives of this study are:
* To use the cell-based assay to compare, in the general population, the immune response between patients who suffered severe versus mild COVID; and
* To determine whether we can predict the humoral and cellular response to SARS-CoV-2 vaccination in immunosuppressed patients by using the cell-based assay.

- Study design
- Other : This study has two aims: the first aim was carried out with a case-control design and the second aim was using the ongoing TCAD project which is a cohort study.
- Follow Up
- Participants with severe or mild COVID-19 infection are followed-up 4 to 12 weeks after their enrollment. Participants who are immunosuppressed patients are followed-up 4 to 12 weeks after enrollment and 21 days after the second dose of COVID vaccine.
- Supplementary Information
- For each case, a control will be selected among the household, matched 1:1 based on age (5 years of difference).

Populations
The population is composed of adults diagnosed with COVID-19 infection who are admitted to the hospitals affiliated to Laval University in the Quebec City area some time since the beginning of the pandemic.

- Participants were included if they were already diagnosed with COVID-19 infection since the beginning of the pandemic and have positive Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) serologic status.
- Other Criteria
- Participants are included if they have a history of hospitalization to care for COVID-19 infection.
