The population is composed of essential care partners/family members/caregivers of residents of 72 selected long-term care and retirement homes (LTCH/RH) sites in Ontario, Canada.

Health Status

Individuals who have blood clotting conditions (e.g., hemophilia) or individuals who have experienced fainting or vomiting due to a finger prick or the sight of blood will be discouraged from completing the DBS test.

Data Collection Event

WH - LTCH/RH Residents’ Families/Caregivers - High-risk Intervention

A tailored virtual and in-person facilitation was given by a trained facilitator (through the Knowledge Translation Program) to LTCHs relevant staff. This intervention consists of technical support for Wellness Hub implementation with up to 1.5 days/week using established methods. Saliva was collected from symptomatic or high-risk exposure participants for PCR-testing.
