The population is composed of residents of the Island of Montreal, outside Montreal-North, who responded to the quantitative panel surveys, called the Gen Pop surveys, in April 2021.

Information on the demographic characteristics of household members and visitors (including age, sex, race/visible minority status, occupation, schooling status for children under 18, and relationship to the head of the household), the characteristics of household’s dwelling unit, household members’ chronic conditions and recent illness, their utilization of health services and experience of recent household death due to COVID-19 was collected. In addition, information on fear of contracting COVID-19; belief of past COVID-19 infection and exposures; compliance with the protection measures; perceptions of vulnerability; perceptions of immunity; intentions to get vaccinated for COVID-19; main sources of information about COVID-19; protective measures implemented in the workplace; use of public transit; engagement in faith communities and practices; job or income loss due to the COVID-19 pandemic was collected. Blood samples were collected and a serology test performed using the self-administered dried blood test.
