RECORD - Wave 2

The second wave of the RECORD Study invited participants of wave 1 for a second evaluation. New participants were also recruited.

The questionnaires filled by the participants collected information about their sociodemographic status, health behaviours, physical activity, sedentary behaviour, transportation habits, sleep, family and personal medical history, treatments, psychological characteristics, psycho-cognitive correlates of body weight and shape, affective, cognitive and relational experiences made by the individuals in their residential environment, and different environmental dimensions.

During the general health check-up, many physical measures were taken including blood pressure, electrocardiogram, spirometry (for a fraction of the sample), sitting and standing height, weight, hip and waist circumference, bioelectrical impedance, and tricipital skinfold and arm circumference. A dental examination, and hearing and vision tests were also performed for a fraction of the sample.

Also, VERITAS, a web based computer tool that allow survey technicians to search for and geolocate participants’ activity locations was used (average of 14 locations geocoded per participant).
