The questionnaires filled by the participants collected information about their sociodemographic status, health behaviours, physical activity, family and personal medical history, treatments, psychological characteristics, affective, cognitive and relational experiences made by the individuals in their residential environment, and different environmental dimensions.
During the general health check-up, many physical measures were taken including blood pressure, electrocardiogram, spirometry, sitting and standing height, weight, hip and waist circumference and bioelectrical impedance. A dental examination, and hearing and vision tests were also performed for a fraction of the sample.
With support of the National Health Insurance Office for Salaried Workers, exhaustive health-care reimbursement data from the SNIIR-AM register are merged at an individual level on a yearly basis. The data include detailed information on all the health professionals visited, treatments reimbursed, examinations and biological tests and hospitalizations.
