The population is composed of COVID-19 positive recovered residents of two a long-term care facility (LTCF) campuses; Northwood campuses and the St. Vincent campus, in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Inclusion:
Resident of a long-term care facility;
Able to provide consent either directly by the participant, or surrogate in the event of a medical emergency and/or subject who is not capable of providing informed consent;
Able to answer clinical questions and provide medical history directly (the patient) or via a surrogate.

Supplementary Information

The study opportunity was advised by medical leadership through written letter and by word of mouth to all long-term care facility residents and their substitute decision makers (SDM) (for those who are unable to provide informed consent). Those residents or SDM who consent to talk with the study team then are contacted by a study team member.

Data Collection Event

LIFE-CO - COVID-19 recovered - 12-months post-boost

Blood samples were collected for immunity measures and anti-SARS-CoV-2 spike serology. Information on balance and mobility, the Clinical Frailty Scale (CFS) score, current medication lists (regular and PRN) and clinical status as well as long term care comprehensive geriatric assessment (LTC-CGA) were abstracted from residents’ charts. The LTC-Frailty Index was calculated from the long term care comprehensive geriatric assessment (LTC-CGA).
