EINSTEIN - Mothers - Pregnancy Intervention
The population is composed of nonpregnant married women ages 18 to 45, who have no children or one child, who are planning to get pregnant within the next two years, and allocated to the pregnancy intervention group. Starting late in the first trimester of pregnancy, women receive daily micronutrient supplement tablets and lifestyle behaviour and cognitive–behavioural interventions in the form of group sessions.

Information is collected about medical, treatment, and drug history, adverse events (homicidal behaviours, death, diseases), COVID-19 (symptoms, diagnosis, employment status), smoking and alcohol history, diet, food security, physical activity (Global Physical Activity Questionnaire), sleep (Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index), adverse childhood life experiences, reproductive history, anxiety (General Anxiety Disorder-7), depression (Patient Health Questionnaire-9), general self-efficacy (General Self-Efficacy Scale), sociodemographic characteristics, and socioeconomic status. Weight, height, body composition, and blood pressure measurements are collected. Blood samples are collected.
