ABC - Mothers - 3 year visit
During the face to face visit, demographics were collected, including age, health card number, address and family doctor information. Information about the mother's medical history was collected concerning diabetes, increased blood pressure, increased cholesterol, other major medical problems and medications used. Dietary information was collected through the use of the Interheart Diet Questionnaire.
Socioeconomic status was assessed by recording annual household income, employment, education and marital status. Information was gathered about chronic stressors in the home, workplace and community and stressful life events. Adequacy of social support to the mother was measured. Depression in the mother and intimate partner violence were assessed.
Height, weight, waist and hip circumference, skinfold thickness and blood pressure were measured as well.
Blood, urine and saliva samples were collected if there was no sample from a previous visit.
